We thank all the participants, The Canadian Auto Workers, Roy Nichols Motors Chevrolet in Courtice, all event and trophy sponsors to make this year's event very successful.

Also, we thank all those who assisted us; Juliette Labao, Valerie Noonan, Nancy and Ron Kirbyson, Ray and Sue Twist with the registration; Yves Ouellette, Lee Pace and John Cole with Parking; Danny Fusco, Darren Fice, Roy Fice and JD Towing of Oshawa with the Burnout Competition; and Wayne Andrus, Bob Ambrose and the CAW 222 Recreation and Youth Committees, Mark Dolishny, Julie Corden, Harry Attard and Gary Fossum who managed to make the 3rd annual Super Car Show 2006 the best yet.

For your entertainment pleasure, we thank Ron Moore of Port Perry for paying tribute to Elvis.  

A big thank you to photographers Bill Hyranik and Bill Greaves for taking the event pictures.  The event pictures are continually being displayed as soon as they are matched with the owners' vehicles and award presentations.

The Super Car Show for 2006 promoted the original North American Auto Makers; General Motors, Ford and Chrysler; its Auto Suppliers, Services, Dealers and the Canadian Auto Workers who assemble quality world class vehicles.

The Super Car Show featured a ‘Show and Shine’ event for participants registering their North American Manufactured Vehicles "Assembled by C.A.W. and U.A.W. Workers", with 40 plaques presented to the top 20 in each class of: 1980 and Older, and 1981 and Newer; as well as, 10 trophies for the following:

Sponsor’s Choice Award 
Best Customized 
Best Modified / Special Interest 
Best Paint 
Best Interior 
Best Engine 
Best Graphics 
Best Burnout (3 classes)

For Registered Show Participants:

A T-Shirt, Dash Plaque and 'Goodie Bag' loaded with promos were presented to each participant who registered a traditional Classic, Antique, Muscle, Customized or Modified 1980 or Older vehicle; or a 1981 or Newer; Super, Sports, Convertible, Coupe, Customized, Modified or Special Interest Vehicle in the show.

Two Race Tickets each valued at $13, were made available for the registered participants to view the Limited Late Model Stock Car Racing that Saturday evening and to cheer-on the Super Car Show Sponsored Drivers.

Three Burn-Out competitions trophies sponsored by Fraser Ford Sales Inc. Oshawa were presented for: 1980 & Older, 1981 & Newer, and Commercial or Sponsored winners. 

Entertainment was provided by Ron Moore of Port Perry who played tribute to Elvis.

Proceeds from the event were for the Deering Sisters of Port Perry Fundraiser and the Grandview Children's Centre in Oshawa.
